The Bite Force Fishing Crew is made up of a father and son duo. Captain Ryan on the right and first mate Jackson on the left. They have both had a love for the sport of fishing for many years and decided to turn this out-of-control hobby into a part-time profession.
In 2018 Ryan bought a 24-foot bay boat, to fish some of the local reservoirs, lakes, rivers, and Lake Erie. Eventually, Ryan and Jackson fell in love with fishing the Great Lakes and their obsession has grown from there. Since 2018, they have cultivated their knowledge and skills of fishing and can now successfully bring in a limit of fish under a multitude of different conditions on both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
Captain Ryan is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain.

Lake Erie has some of the most diverse fishing in the USA. Here you can catch everything from little Bluegills to big, angry Lake Trout and nearly everything in between. Erie is known mainly for its incredible summertime Walleye fishing but also has phenomenal Lake Trout and Steelhead fishing when the time is right. We troll for all these fish using mainly planer boards and downriggers.
Walleye: June through September
Steelhead: July through October
Lake Trout: Mid-April through May then October through November
Lake Erie charters will meet on the courtesy dock at Lampe Marina at 1 Port Access Road, Erie, Pa 16507.
Lake Ontario is home to the big, powerful, and tasty Chinook Salmon. If you are looking for a place to really test your strength against big, angry fish, then look no further than Lake Ontario. The month of May brings large concentrations of Chinook and Coho Salmon to the Western end of the lake where they feast on baitfish and are relatively easy to catch. When fishing for salmon, there is also the chance to catch Brown Trout, Lake Trout, and Steelhead too. We troll for these fish using downriggers, dipsey divers, and heavy long lines on planer boards.
Salmon: May
Lake Ontario charters will meet at Bootleggers Cove Marina at 6 Oconnel Island, Wilson, NY 14172.
What to Bring:
What NOT to Bring:
We are very well outfitted with the best lures, tackle, and other necessary gear so there is no need to bring your own.
There is a large 110-gallon RTIC cooler on board to hold the day’s catch until we return to the dock and clean your fish.
The idea of catching Steelhead on the tributaries draws anglers from across the world to Lake Erie. There is no greater feeling than when the line goes tight, that fish of a lifetime takes off downstream and the fight is on. Fisherman of all skill levels are welcome, and we hope to give you a fun, educational, and memorable experience on Steelhead Alley.
When and Where:
Steelhead start moving up the creeks early October and stick around until April. The stream flows and runs of fish will determine which stream we fish each day. Typically, we will fish the infamous Elk Creek.
We provide all the necessary gear that you need except waders and boots. We will teach you what to look for on the creeks and how to cast a fly rod if you have never fly fished. We are dialed in on our gear set ups and will provide rods and all the flies/terminal that is necessary.
You are welcome to bring your own rod and reel setup if you wish but you are not required to.
Please Bring:
1. Waders and wading boots (we recommend felt soles or studded rubber soles).
2. Appropriate clothing. It tends to be chilly during Steelhead season so make sure you keep an eye on the weather.
3. Sunglasses
4. A small pack with snacks and drinks to take with you down the creek.
Trips:
6 hours: $450
(Trips are 1-2 people per guide)
If you have any questions about anything at all or would like to book your trip of a lifetime, then please let us know!
